The legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans racing race will be fully contested by electric vehicles by 2030, and the circuit could even include induction charging strips to keep the cars charged the whole race.
This is the vision of Belgian designers Jeroen Claus and Fabian Brees, who conceptualized what Tesla could align on such a race. The car could reach according to them the speed of 453 km / h, thanks to the “Tweel” Michelin tires that would allow this induction charging. The driving would be from inside the vehicle, safely, thanks to a virtual reality technology that will allow viewers to view the race from the point of view of the driver.
