Kimono, Reimagined: From Historical Dress to Contemporary Fashion
The kimono is often treated as a timeless silhouette, but its story is full of change. Historical garments, graphic experiments and contemporary fashion show how a familiar shape can carry new patterns, identities and ideas. This selection draws on the V&A’s Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk research, with traditional dress clearly distinguished from its reinterpretations.
