10 Animals Known for Remarkable Speed
Speed takes different forms in the animal world: a dive, a sprint and sustained movement through water are not directly comparable. This selection introduces ten animals associated with remarkable movement, with the differences between those measurements kept in mind.
10. Canadian Moose / Elk
Moose (Alces alces) have long, slim legs that end in cloven, or divided, hooves often more than 18 cm long. The body is deep and massively muscled at the shoulders, giving the animal a humped appearance. These animals, despite their large body, are very good runners. The Canadian deer, who entered our list on the 10th spot, can reach 70 kilometers per hour, surprisingly. The speed limit of 70 KM is a limit for many animals. For example; The African Wild Dog can reach 72 kilometers per hour. Also Red kangaroos reach a speed of 71 km.
