Unhate Posters
Launched in November 2011 by Benetton and the UNHATE Foundation, this provocative campaign imagined reconciliation through digitally constructed images of political and religious leaders kissing. The unlikely pairings turned familiar faces into symbols of dialogue across divisions of power, belief and nationality. Combining photomontage with Benetton’s confrontational approach to advertising, the posters invited viewers to question hostility and consider tolerance instead. These are campaign artworks, not photographs of real encounters.
