9. Wild Rabbit

The European hare, also known as the brown hare, is a species of hare native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is among the largest hare species and is adapted to temperate, open country. Don't be fooled when they look small. Brown hares can surprise you with their speed. We all know the story of the Turtle and the Rabbit. Brown Hares enable them to reach speeds of 77kph (48mph), the same speed as their predator the red fox. European Hares are herbivores and their diet consists of grasses and herbs during summer months and changes to twigs and bark in the winter.
