10 Animals Known for Remarkable Speed
1. Peregrine Falcon

Here is the fastest living on earth. Of course it's from the bird kingdom. With a speed of 322 kilometers per hour, the hawks are able to challenge even the most expensive race cars. The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest bird, and in fact the fastest animal on the planet, when in its hunting dive, the stoop, in which it soars to a great height, then dives steeply at speeds of over 322kph (200mph). It reaches horizontal cruising speeds of up to 90 kph (56mph). The peregrine falcon, also known as the peregrine, and historically as the duck hawk in North America, is a widespread bird of prey in the family Falconidae. A large, crow-sized falcon, it has a blue-grey back, barred white underparts, and a black head.
